E-Rate Funding Year 2023 officially started on July 1, 2022. FCC Form 470 “Description of Services Requested and Certification Form” is the first form that must be filed by a school or library in the E-Rate application process. Form 470 is already available in EPC.
By starting your E-Rate year early, you can ensure a successful and timely funding process.
If you feel that you pay a lot for technology, if you wish to improve your network, if you deal with multiple vendors for one issue, or your wireless network crashes frequently…If you’re looking to improve your school’s enrollment rates, it’s time to consider applying for E-Rate.
E-Rate provides discounts for telecommunications, Internet access, and internal connections to eligible schools and libraries.
The discounts are based on student population for grades K-12 and the percentage of students eligible for the National School Lunch Program. Program participants receive discounts on expenditures for various telecommunications services. They range from 20 percent to 90 percent of the costs of eligible services. E-rate program funding is based on demand up to an annual Commission-established cap of $4.276 billion.
Keep track of the E-Rate program in our E-Rate page.
